Bakery product firm aims to raise fleet performance with Microlise16 December 2015

Specialist bakery business Aryzta Food Solutions has rolled out fleet performance and journey management solutions from Microlise across its UK fleet of 105 vehicles, after a successful trial earlier this year.

The company, which owns and operates the Delice de France brand as well as other food businesses in Europe, the Americas and Australasia, is aiming to boost its delivery operation and provide a bespoke service for its customers.

“We trialled Microlise Fleet Performance on 12 vehicles at the beginning of this year and the results exceeded our expectations,” says Ronan Quigley, Aryta’s head of central operation.

“We wanted to achieve significant improvements in route optimisation, tracking and driver performance. Following a thorough review of what is on the market, Microlise proved to be the best tool to achieve our goals.”

Choosing Microlise means Arytza’s can also progress its plans for full electronic proof of delivery in future, as this is part of the product suite.

The new solutions will link up with the Aryzta’s planning and route optimisation tool to track delivery efficiency and identify performance improvements. Journey Management will enable the operator to compare planned versus actual deliveries, and Arytza will use Microlise’s DriveTab tablets, which are 7-inch ruggedized touchscreen devices.
