BioMarsh expands fleet with 20-strong DAF order28 September 2016

Waste management company BioMarsh Environmental has taken delivery of 20 new DAF trucks after securing a £2m funding facility from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

The vehicles – all DAF FAS 330 with AS Tronic transmission and full air suspension – have been acquired on hire purchase. They replace 10 older trucks in BioMarsh’s fleet and expand the total number from 70 to 80, to enable the company to grow its business in Scotland.

The bespoke bodies were designed by BioMarsh managing director Rod Travers in conjunction with VJ Engineering, and are able to simultaneously deliver water and remove waste without the use of an auxiliary engine.

BioMarsh is now recruiting 10 additional drivers to meet its expansion aims.
