Brown Recyling ready to roll with Eurocargo skiploaders07 December 2017

Waste management company Brown Recycling has taken delivery of two 18-tonne Eurocargo skiploaders from IVECO’s Drive Away ready-bodied range.

Supplied direct by dealer Sherwood Truck & Van, the 4x2 rigids feature Boughton bodywork and join the Staffordshire-based operator’s 40-strong fleet.

“The expansion of IVECO’s DriveAway range to include skiploaders was the deciding factor for us – other manufacturers simply couldn’t compete on lead time,” says Rod Brown, managing director.

“Having access to pre-bodied vehicles direct from the forecourt simplified the whole buying process and meant we only had to deal with a single point of contact at the dealer from start to finish.”

Each Eurocargo ML180E25 is powered by a 6.7-litre Tector engine, delivering 248bhp at 2,500rpm and 850Nm of torque between 1,250 and 2,050rpm.

Brown says driver feedback has been “really positive”, particularly on the vehicle’s manoeuvrability. “It’s likely the Eurocargo will be on our shopping list again,” he adds.

Both are supplied with five-year IVECO Elements R&M contracts.
