Cappagh adds 20 more Scania tippers to its fleet 27 September 2012

London based contracting firm Cappagh Group has taken delivery of another 20 eight-wheeler Scania tippers, with Boweld bodies and Hyva tipping cylinders.

Operations manager Peter Freaney explains that the firm went for 360hp Scania 8x4 chassis, Boweld MightyLite multi-purpose steel bodies and Hyva's separate ram and tank FC149 tipping cylinder for the proven versatility f this combination.

"Our tippers can be working on anything from clearing a demolition site to delivering sand and aggregates, and often in the same day," says Freaney.

"The key things we want from our tippers are therefore strength and reliability, along with a competitive unladen weight," he adds.

Offering a payload of 19,500kg, Cappagh's latest tipper specification provides that blend of ruggedness and strength with performance and productivity, he says.

"The tipping equipment needs next to no maintenance either, and because everything Hyva just works so well I've just added a pair of their skiploaders into the fleet too," says Freaney.
