Carrier Transicold delivers ‘first-class reliability’ for Euro Foods12 May 2017

Wholesaler Euro Foods Group has taken delivery of four 7.5-tonne Fuso Canter trucks fitted with Xarios 500 refrigeration systems from Carrier Transicold – completing a switch to Carrier as its sole transport refrigeration equipment supplier.

The Newport-based operator’s decision was made thanks to “first-class reliability” from two nine-year-old Xarios units, and the latest additions join a 56-strong commercial fleet ranging from 7.5- to 26-tonne trucks.

“Service is the only thing that separates us from our competitors, so reliable refrigeration equipment is key to our business,” says Neill Cannell, group transport manager at Euro Foods Group.

“Our experience with Carrier Transicold systems has been really positive. To still be getting first-class reliability after almost a decade of service is testament to the quality of the product.

“This proved to us that the time had come to switch the whole fleet to Carrier.”

The operator has an intensive delivery schedule, with up to 15 drops a day, six days a week. Two of the new vehicles will be based at its Newport headquarters, with the remainder operating from the firm’s Darlaston and Hayes sites.
