Cartwright wins major VMS order for Dixons contract 17 November 2011

Cartwright has won an order for 123 bodies from fleet management company VMS (Fleet Management) for its customer Dixons Retail. The order is for lightweight 3.5-tonne aerodynamic rigid box vans on Iveco chassis.

VMS says the vehicles, resplendent in the new Know How livery, will make a positive environmental impact, reducing the carbon by clever use of lightweight recyclable materials and aerodynamic Cheetah Fastback profiling.

Interestingly, to assist the operator a rear slam-door lock system has been developed, together with a fold-over tail lift. In total the vehicle is capable of carrying in excess of 1,000kg payload.

"We are delighted with this major order from VMS for such a prestigious high street retailer, and to help play a part in reducing Dixons' carbon footprint," comments Darren Holland, group sales director of the Cartwright Group.
