Coach operator finds first-class benefits with TruTac26 April 2018

Coach operator Daish’s Holidays has installed TruTac tacho analysis and fleet support software, and is reporting a 50% reduction since the start of this year in driver infringements, as well as improved compliance control.

The operator found its previous system slow and cumbersome to use, so it moved to TruTac, which is specifically designed for the PSV industry.

“We use CPT Tacho Analysis, CPT Daily Checks and TruLicence,” says Brian Maddern, transport manager.

“We have 19 of our 23 coaches hooked up to the system using TruTac’s remote downloading boxes and next-day reporting of all key information at our fingertips all the time.”

As well as halving driver infringements, he says, all performance-related issues can now be addressed immediately – with the previous system, it took up to a month to analyse data.

In addition, says Maddern, the CPT Daily Checks driver app is “a massive improvement”. As well as using it for daily walkaround checks, it provides traffic status information: “All the drivers are delighted with it,” he says.

The TruLicence programme, meanwhile, enables the transport office to see all driver and new driver licence history, points and validity.

“In short, TruTac has enabled us to get rid of paper, speed things up and maintain tight control – greater efficiency all round.”
