Coal firm drives good deal on new Isuzu fleet 28 August 2014

Fergusson Coal, which delivers to wholesalers and households in the Stirling and Dumfries areas, is now operating seven new Isuzu N75.190 7.5-tonne platform-bodied trucks.

The company says it needed a reliable, fuel-efficient and cost-effective fleet capable of carrying the payload and working in narrow roads and even narrower driveways.

Hence the choice of Isuzu through Asset Alliance, which provided the finance under a five-year contract hire arrangement.

Hugh Cockburn, commercial sales executive for AM Phillip Trucktech, of Broxburn, brokered the deal with Asset Alliance, which is also providing fleet management while Isuzu looks after maintenance.

"This deal shows that by working as a trusted partner with local dealerships, AAL can assist in providing the national coverage required, while allowing dealerships to retain their direct customer relationships," comments Ian Padley, head of fleet operations for Asset Alliance.

All vehicles were painted and liveried in the Fergusson Coal colour scheme prior to delivery.
