Comma launches TransFlow Euro 6 HGV lubes 17 January 2013

Gravesend-based Comma Oil & Chemicals has launched a range of engine lubricants for heavy duty commercial vehicles, dubbed TransFlow and aimed at Euro 6 vehicles.

Comma sales and marketing director Mike Bewsey says it's all about meeting increasingly demanding emissions regulations and operators' requirements for fuel economy, without compromising oil drain intervals.

"Changes in hardware design and operating strategies have resulted in a shift towards high performance, lower viscosity semi- and fully-synthetic engine oils of a type more commonly associated with passenger vehicles," explains Bewsey.

But Euro 6, he says – with its greater dependence on exhaust aftertreatment systems – will put further demands on lubricants.–

Hence TransFlow, which Bewsey says comprises a range of heavy-duty diesel oils, with OEM recommendations for all the major manufacturers, including Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Scania, MAN and Renault trucks.
