Midi access platform is first for Iveco 7.5 tonner29 January 2010

Yorkshire-based Wilson Access Hire has taken delivery of the first CTE ZED26J truck-mounted aerial access platform in the UK.

The company selected the ZED26J, mounted on a 7.5-tonne Iveco Eurocargo chassis, providing for 26m maximum working height, to meet the growing demand for self-drive equipment in this performance range.

"Small and agile truck mounts offer great flexibility and the new unit fits in very nicely with our customer base,," comments Tom Wilson, managing director of Wilson Access Hire.

"7.5 tonnes is as big as we will go on self-drive," he adds. "This adds a new dimension to our fleet and will enhance our ability to work in partnership with other companies and provide a wider choice to our customers."

Wilson Access Hire operates a range of truck- and track-mounted aerial access platforms covering up to working heights to 53m.

Wilson explains that the company's new CTE ZED26J is a larger version of the ZED20 model that has proved popular with its 3.5 tonne self-drive vans.
