Conti YardReader system preview set for CV Show21 February 2017

Continental Tyres says it will use the upcoming CV Show (25—27 April 2017, NEC, Birmingham) to preview its Conti YardReader, designed to monitor tyre pressures automatically for all vehicles in a fleet’s yard.

Mat Wilkinson, commercial sales and marketing director at Continental Tyres, says it’s all about highlighting the firm’s operational solutions, designed to help inform fleets, put efficiency and safety first and provide services to wrap around its commercial vehicle tyres.

The Conti YardReader – which becomes part of Continental’s ContiPressureCheck TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system) range – is due to be rolled out this summer.

Wilkinson says it will allow fleet managers to monitor tyre pressures automatically for all yard-based vehicles, so improving fleet maintenance and helping to prevent tyre breakdowns.

He also says that Continental’s TPMS modular offering – which can be operated standalone or with telematics integration – is proven to offer significant benefits for fleets, including reduced fuel costs, lower environmental impact and higher safety levels, as well as helping to lower the likelihood of tyre blowouts.

“Commercial vehicle operators continue to strive towards greater fuel and cost efficiencies and, with this in mind, Continental has invested in providing not only market leading tyres but a robust range of services and solutions to support our customers,” states Wilkinson.

“The CV Show offers us the opportunity to discuss how Continental can help with the right tyres and the right solutions to take your commercial business forward.”
