Courier business delivers on pharma best practice with Seven Telematics19 November 2015

Courier Express has specified two recent additions to its fleet with Transcan 2 Phama+ temperature recording devices and Cool Track remote monitoring systems from Seven Telematics, as part of a policy to boost its presence in the market for temperature-controlled transport.

The 18-tonne Mercedes-Benz rigid and Montracon 13.6m refrigerated trailer are being used for pharmaceutical and medical deliveries across the UK.

The Transcan Pharma+ and Cool Track systems give the Brighton-based operator full visibility of product integrity during transit – key to its compliance with Good Distribution Practice, the standard for storage and handling of medicines.

“We can view every alert, as well as essential temperature data, on our operation control screens, here at head office,” says Ben Lloyd, managing director of Courier Express.

“They are an excellent tool for our business as they provide us with a full set of real-time reports and alerts as to any potential alarm conditions before potentially compromising the integrity of the products being carried,” adds Lloyd.

“In addition, we can send customers full and accurate detailed load integrity information covering every delivery we make on their behalf.”
