DAF Trucks named national Top 100 apprentice employer27 January 2016
DAF Trucks has been named as a national Top 100 apprentice employer for the fourth year in the last five by the National Apprenticeship Service.
The announcement – made yesterday (26 January 2016) at the National Apprenticeship Awards in London – comes following DAF Trucks’ 20th year of its apprentice programme in 2015.
DAF Trucks has trained 1,500 apprentices since the programme’s inception in 1995, and 20% of DAF technicians at dealerhip level were trained on DAF apprenticeships.
“Here we see further proof that our DAF Apprentice Programme is not only a benchmark programme in the commercial vehicle industry, but, and as confirmed for the fourth time, it’s also among the best in any industry,” comments Tony Shepherd, DAF business services manager.
“It’s an investment into the future of DAF Trucks in the UK. I’ve said this before,” he adds.
