DAF Trucks plans move to Buckinghamshire 30 March 2017

DAF Trucks will be moving its UK headquarters to a new facility in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, following 30 years in Thame.

Last week, an official groundbreaking ceremony took place that signals the beginning of a £20 million investment.

“The new facility is being built at a time when DAF is enjoying record success in the UK”, says outgoing DAF Trucks UK managing director Ray Ashworth.

“In the UK, DAF is the market leader and set a record 30.1% share in the above 6.0-tonne market,” he continues.

“Together with our 56 dealers with 139 locations in the UK and Ireland, we offer our customers industry-leading trucks and services and we are excited to help them grow their businesses from this new UK headquarters.”

Senior executives from DAF Trucks NV and Paccar Inc were joined at the ground-breaking ceremony by Simon Smits, the Dutch Ambassador to the UK, as well as representatives from the local authorities and the project management company.

The new three-story facility is due for completion in July 2018 and will have almost 50,000ft2 of office space.

It will include a state-of-the-art auditorium, as well as an ultra-modern four-bay workshop offering world class training facilities for DAF dealers and employees.
