DAF Trucks recognised in the Centrica Top 100 30 January 2017

DAF Trucks has been recognised in the Centrica Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer List for 2016 – its fifth such commendation in the last six years.

Compiled by the National Apprenticeship Service, the Top 100 is drawn-up annually and was announced at the National Apprentice Awards on 20th January at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

DAF Trucks again features in the Top 100 List as a result of the National Apprenticeship Service recognising ‘excellence in businesses that employ apprentices’.

Now its 21st year, the DAF Apprentice Programme has now trained more than 1,500 apprentices, with 20% of all DAF technicians at dealer level having been trained through the DAF Apprenticeships scheme.

“The DAF Apprentice Programme is becoming a regular fixture in the Top 100 List for good reason,” states Tony Shepherd, DAF business services manager.

“It is quite simply the biggest and best apprentice programme in the commercial vehicle industry... In fact I would place the DAF Apprentice Programme alongside the best in any industry.”
