Dearman employees promote engineering to the next generation11 November 2015

Dearman employees are promoting engineering to the next generation by signing up to become STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) ambassadors.

The STEMNET programme – run by the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network – encourages young people to take STEM subjects and Dearman is joining the programme to promote technical careers to more youngsters.

“The STEM ambassadors programme is a fantastic opportunity for our talented employees to pass on their enthusiasm to the next generation of engineers, technology developers and analysts,” says Nick Owen (pictured), Dearman’s chief technology officer.

“Our aspiration is that the roll-out of Dearman technology will play an increasingly important part in the UK’s manufacturing, engineering and cryogenics industries. But to continue to develop and deliver cutting-edge technologies... the technical professionals of tomorrow need to be inspired today.”

Dearman’s zero-emission transport refrigeration system will be going into commercial trials in the coming months.
