Direct Tyre Management signs exclusive deal with Michelin18 November 2016

Direct Tyre Management (DTM) has appointed Michelin as its exclusive retread supplier, in a four-year deal which will see Michelin supplying around 20,000 Encore tyres from its Stoke-on-Trent factory.

DTM works with commercial fleets across the UK and is part of NRG, an expanding fleet management group that provides vehicles, service and maintenance from 36 service centres across the UK.

Sid Sadique, group chairman at NRG/DTM, says: “Our whole business is based on saving our customers money at the same time as removing the headaches of tyre management, and ensuring excellent health and safety practices. This deal with Michelin will help us do exactly that.”

Guy Heywood, commercial director for truck and bus at Michelin, adds: “This is a really pleasing contract win for us. Encore tyres will allow DTM’s customers to benefit from UK-made, high-value, high-quality tyres built on high-quality casings that deliver excellent all-round performance. We can’t wait to get started.”
