Disc-Lock Europe acquired by Tension Control Bolts 29 June 2015

Disc-Lock Europe, which distributes the Disc-Lock safety wheel nut for commercial vehicles, is to be acquired by Tension Control Bolts, which designs and manufactures high strength, bolted systems.

The Wrexham-based company has supplied products for a range of applications, including Channel Tunnel Rail Link, the Shard, Heathrow Airport Terminal Five, the main stadia for the London 2012 Olympics and Paddington Station.

"I am delighted to be stepping down as chairman of Disc-Lock Europe after 28 years and handing the reins to Tension Control Bolts, a world leader in bolted systems," states chairman Bob Hope.

Although Disc-Lock Europe has been acquired by TCB, it will continue to operate in its own right, he explains.

"Existing customers will not encounter any disruption to the normal service. Indeed, I will continue to be involved for the foreseeable future to ensure a smooth transfer," he adds.

From 1 July 1 (2015), Tension Control Bolts senior sales engineer Gary Mason will assume the day-to-day control of Disc-Lock Europe.

The business will be based at TCB House, Clywedog Road South, Wrexham Industrial Estate, Wrexham. LL13 9XS.
