Double orders for Scania Touring HD coaches07 October 2016

Scania has recently secured two orders for its Touring HD coaches, two to Kent-based operator Lehane Travel and another to GMK Travel, of Bradford.

Lehane Travel’s new additions (pictured) mark its 60th year in business and are both Touring HD 13.7m overall length, fitted to Scania’s Euro 6 K 410 EB 6x2*4 chassis with the fully automated Opticruise eight-speed gear selection system.

They also have permanent rear steer, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and advanced emergency braking. Interior features include Blaupunkt AV equipment, front and centre monitors, climate control, centre sunken toilet and washroom, servery, fridge, reversing camera, 57 Kiel reclining passenger seats with leather headrests and piping, and full LED lighting.

GMK’s new acquisition is also 13.7m long, fitted to Scania’s Euro 6 K410EB6x2 chassis with fully automated Opticruise gear selection, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and advanced emergency braking.

The interior spec includes Bosch AV equipment, climate control, washroom, servery, fridge, reversing camera, 57 Kiel passenger seats with magazine nets and seat back tables, CCTV at centre door, auxiliary heater and Xenon headlights.

Both GMK and Lehane have two-year R&M contracts on their vehicles, managed by Scania Heathrow and Scania Tilmanstone, respectively.
