Downton Haulage signs with Bridgestone for Total Tyre Care package28 October 2015
Logistics operator Downton Haulage has awarded a five-year deal to Bridgestone, citing its Total Tyre Care package as a major factor in the decision.
The new pence-per-kilometre contract is an extension of Downton’s 10-year relationship with the tyre manufacturer, and promises to deliver more miles on the road per tyre.
Total Tyre Care is built around three core elements: Total Tyre Life, for new tyres; Total Tyre Services, for maintenance and Europe-wide assistance; and Total Tyre Systems, covering tyre condition with bespoke reports, inspection tools and tyre pressure monitoring systems.
Richard Downton (pictured, left, with Bridgestone’s commercial sales director Greg Ward) says: “We are delighted that this partnership is proving so beneficial for us and it was an easy decision for us to make in the end.
