Dunmow Waste Management supports CDKL5 charity 14 November 2016

Chelmsford-based Dunmow Waste Management is using its flagship Volvo FH-540 tractor unit to promote the CDKL5 UK charity, which raises awareness and funding for the rare genetic disorder of that name.

Its Globetrotter-cabbed double-drive FH-540 tractor unit -- which is used to haul the company’s Titan walking-floor trailer for recycling and black bag waste – has been liveried appropriately on the nearside.

“The CDKL5 UK charity is very close to our hearts as our daughter, Evie was diagnosed with the condition by specialists at Great Ormond Street Hospital in May 2012,” explains Dunmow Waste Management managing director Sam Malins.

“Great Ormond Street hospital has been incredibly supportive and Evie has recently had a VNS (vagus nerve stimulation) installed – a small device that sends electrical impulses to the brain through a nerve in the neck, which helps with seizures,” he adds.

The CureCDKL5 livery now appears on one of each of his truck types a 4x2 skip truck, a Volvo FMX roll-on/roll-off container truck and the Volvo FH.

“We have also ordered four Volvo FL 4x2 skip trucks, one of which I’m sure will incorporate the charity’s artwork in the livery,” says Malins.
