EcoStralis truck duo heads for Bedfords 26 April 2011

Bedfords Transport has bought two Iveco EcoStralis tractor units to run on behalf of its recent acquisition, LinQ Alliance.

The 44-tonne 4x2 Ecostralis tractor units were purchased from Yorkshire-based truck and van dealership Northern Commercials, and will carry LinQ Alliance livery.

The transport company maintains that the investment takes into consideration the environmental issues surrounding the transport industry. Steff Pfadenhauer, managing director at Bedfords, observes that Ecostralis forms a big part of Iveco's commitment to maximising productivity and reducing operating costs, and has proven its fuel consumption cutting capabilities on long distance operations.

"Investing in the new Ecostralis units is another move forward for Bedfords and demonstrates our strong relationship with Northern Commercials," states Pfadenhauer.

"We work hard to reduce fuel consumption with our current fleet but these new units hope to reduce it further still, continuing to aid Bedfords to provide the reliable service we are known for."
