Eddie Stobart puts MAN tractors and Josie-Mae on the road 04 January 2016

Eddie Stobart has taken delivery of 25 MAN TGX 26.440 6x2 tractor units plated at 44 tonnes – and named one of them Josie-Mae, after MAN managing director Simon Elliott’s eight-year-old daughter.

All were specified with the D2676LF46 440bhp 12.4 litres, six-cylinder engine, delivering up to 2,100Nm of torque and driving through the ZF 12 AS 2130 DD MAN TipMatic AMT (automated manual transmission).

All have been acquired on R&M contract through MAN Finance.

“It is a wonderful gesture for the firm to name one of the trucks Josie-Mae, after Simon’s daughter,” comments Mark Price, MAN international key account manager.

“We are delighted that the TGXs have joined the Eddie Stobart fleet and are proud to see our vehicles on the road bearing that distinctive and much admired livery,” he continues – adding that he is confident the vehicles will prove themselves and looks forward to doing more business with Eddie Stobart in the future.
