Supplied by dealer Hartshorne Motor Services, the new FE rigids join 17 Volvo FH tractors at the operator’s Yardley, Birmingham headquarters.
The new additions comprise four 18-tonne 4x2 vehicles and four 6x2 26-tonners.
The 26-tonners are powered by D8K Euro VI engines rated at 316bhp, while the four 18-tonners are fitted with 247bhp versions of the D8K. All eight have Sleeper cabs and I-Shift 12-speed, automated transmission systems.
The FE chassis all come with front steel, rear air-suspended, 5,800mm wheelbase chassis and curtainside bodywork by Fred Smith & Sons (Motor Bodies), in Walsall.
Euro Packaging opted for five-year Volvo Gold R&M contracts, with a 100% uptime guarantee.
