Evyan Transport rates Krone’s Profi Liner04 July 2018

Haulage firm Evyan Transport has taken delivery of a Krone Profi Liner, choosing the trailer for its versatility and light weight, and is now predicting a change to Krone for all its trailers within a year.

“This is always a competitive business, so it makes sense to operate trailers which are economic to run and easily adapted to suit a wide variety of cargo,” says Andrei Brasoveanu, operations director at the Chelmsford-based operator.

The Profi Liner is equipped as standard with Multi Lock strapping points every 100 mm along each side rave, enabling Evyan to strap virtually any type of load along the trailer length. Each point has a loading tolerance of two tonnes and can be accessed from inside and outside the curtain.

“The weight makes a difference, too,” he adds. “We carry mixed loads... and having around 900kg less tare weight means fuel and wear costs are reduced over the long term.”

The EN 12642 XL trailer has a 30mm phenolic-coated plywood floor rated at 7,000kg forklift axle loading, a bolted steel front bulkhead and Krone’s steel, container-type barn doors with integrated locks for added security.

“Put it all together and we have a versatile trailer which combines quality with economic performance – the ideal asset for a competitive transport world.

“We are really pleased with the product and in the next six to 12 months we will replace all our trailers with Krone,” confirms Brasoveanu.
