Expo debut for Starliner 2 touring coach 16 November 2012

MAN Truck & Bus UK chose Euro Bus Expo 2012 to debut its new three-axle touring coach.

The 12.9m Starliner 2, shorter than its full-length 14m big brother, meets what MAN sees as the demand for a lower-cost, long-distance luxury coaches in the UK.

The vehicle's rear-steer chassis is equipped with a 505bhp MAN D26 EEV engine and MAN TipMatic automated gearbox. A premium saloon specification includes 53 seats (Kiel 1020 Avance) and WC.

"We are delighted to be able to offer such a fantastic product, in right-hand drive, for the luxury touring coach market," states John Hill, general manager, coach at MAN.

"At 12.9 metres, Starliner 2 provides a more usable chassis for operators looking for greater manoeuvrability and more coach-park flexibility," he adds.
