The Kettering-based business, which offers a spares and repair service, has already seen significant fuel savings across the delivery fleet.
Managing director Eugene Finan says the firm wanted an “efficient fleet control system which could enable us to keep track of each consignment and pinpoint the nearest vehicle to a delivery or service requirement at the touch of a button”.
After installing RouteMaster, he adds, the benefit was immediate: “Right away we were able to make more efficient use of the delivery vehicles and this cut down on wasted miles. Needless to say, the impact on fuel costs was significant and we have also saved a great deal of time.”
The system also allows driver performance to be monitored to reduce over-revving, harsh braking and unnecessary engine idling.
