FIA European truck racing returns to Donington for Easter 21 February 2011

The first round of the Renault Trucks sponsored FIA European Truck Racing Series will take place at the Donington Park Circuit this Easter Bank Holiday weekend, 23 and 24 April 2011.

Teams from all over Europe will be travelling to the UK, after a significant absence from the sport, and a full grid is expected.

Entrants include MKR Technology, the Renault Trucks supported team, which won the FIA European Truck Racing team championship prize in 2010, in its first year of competition.

"Renault Trucks has worked closely with MKR Technology to develop some of the best race trucks available on the circuit, and this was evidenced by their team championship win last year," comments Marc Martinez, managing director of Renault Trucks UK.

"The race trucks encompass the best of Renault Trucks technology, in terms of high performance engines and components. Along with the drivers and team support provided by MKR Technology, this has produced a winning solution that perfectly demonstrates the strength and power of our brand," he adds.

Support races for the event will include Pickup Trucks, Legends Cars and the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship.
