Fiat Professional curries favour with Currys 25 September 2012

Currys PC World has boosted its van fleet, with the delivery of 50 Fiat Doblo Cargo Maxi vehicles, all powered by the Italian manufacturer's 1.6-llitre Multijet engine.

As part of a new service engineer project, the vans will be used for home service visits – their 1,000kg payload and 4.2m3 volume allowing transportation of large, heavy items such as washing machines and fridge freezers.

"The Doblo Cargo Maxi was chosen for its excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions, as well as the payload," states Martin James, managing director of VMS Fleet Management, which supplied the commercial vehicles.

"We are delighted once again that a leading household name has chosen the Fiat Doblo for its fleet," says Sebastiano Fedrigo, director, Fiat Professional.

"A combination of its size, versatility and value for money makes the Doblo Cargo Maxi an excellent choice for applications such as these."
