Finish technician team takes Volvo VISTA prize 08 June 2016

Team Harju, from Finland, won Volvo Trucks’ and Volvo Buses’ global VISTA technician competition in last weeks finals, held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 31 May to 1 June 2016.

“This is unbelievable - I'm extremely proud and happy for my team,” says Immo Harju, team leader of Team Harju, which also won the title back in 2013.

“VISTA is always a very hard competition,” he continues. “If you want to be successful, you must keep learning every day... Even during the world final, we have been learning new things.”

Volvo’s VISTA challenge began for all 32 worldwide finalists with qualifying rounds in September 2015, November 2015 and February 2016, followed by the regional semi-finals in April.

Representing the UK & Ireland at the finals was ‘I Tools’, a team from the Norwich dealership of Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia.

This group took on and won against nine others in the semi-finals, also held in Gothenburg last April, but finished just outside the top placings.

“VISTA is a great way of seeing how our services compare ... and having a team reach the final really shows the high level of competence in our workshops,” comments Mike Corcoran, commercial director at Volvo Trucks UK & Ireland.
