First MAN TGE curtainsider to Duncan Reeds28 November 2017

Laminate fabricator Duncan Reeds has taken delivery of the first MAN TGE van fitted with a curtainside body.

The West Sussex-based operator’s new addition is a TGE 3.140 4x2F long wheelbase, single cab chassis. The body is by Transport Enterprises, of Leicester, and the new vehicle is acquired with funding from MAN Financial Services.

Duncan Reeds is a longstanding MAN customer: it has two MAN trucks at its base in Billingshurst and one at its northern office, in Manchester.

Director Andy Bilton says that when he heard about the launch of the MAN TGE, it was an easy decision.

“I haven’t driven a TGE yet, but I know based on my experience with MAN it will deliver,” he says, adding that the service from dealer PCL Group is “second to none”.

Bilton (pictured, right, with MAN sales executive Simon Ward) says the TGE will be used for city centre deliveries where HGV access is difficult.

“I’m excited to get behind the wheel and try it out for myself as it has received great reviews,” he says. “We are looking forward to putting it to the test.”
