First Renault truck to carry fine art for Williams & Hill 04 October 2012

Specialist handlers of fine art, antiques and furniture Williams & Hill Forwarding has taken delivery of its first Renault truck.

The Renault Master 125.35 low platform cab, supplied through Renault distributor Norfolk Truck and Van Enfield, joins a 16-strong fleet of Mercedes-Benz and MAN trucks.

It has been equipped with a modified GRP Luton body, with padding and tie rails, by commercial vehicle bodybuilder GM Billings, and fitted with a Maple alarm system, CCTV system and vehicle tracking.

"The main advantage of the new Renault Master is its low platform, which gives easier access when loading and unloading, plus it has a taller body and negates the need for a tail lift," states Tony Thomas, director of Williams & Hill Forwarding.

"So it is particularly suited to the transport of large, fragile items," he adds, commenting that a competitive price and excellent dealer service had sealed the deeal.

"Our business often takes us into Europe, so the Renault Master's reputation for reliability was another important consideration," he continues.

"It's also a great looking, visually appealing vehicle, which helps our brand image amongst our discerning customers."
