First Renault Van ZE electric vehicle enters operations 21 December 2011

Printer Patrick Chard is now cruising around silently and with zero-emissions in the first model from Renault's electric vehicle range, the Kangoo Van ZE.

"It is fantastic; very exciting to be the first [customer]," says Chard, managing director of Murrays the Printers, based in Milton Keynes.

"We made a conscious decision a couple of years ago to be as green as possible, from vehicles to printing presses, and with everything we buy. The Kangoo ZE is the first electric van to market from a manufacturer and it ticks every box for us," he continues.

"We can now deliver locally with zero emissions and make considerable savings on fuel costs over a period of time."

Marshall sales executive David Barnett, who sold the first Kangoo Van ZE, says: "I'm extremely passionate about Renault's new electric range. I gave [Patrick Chard] the reassurance that the Kangoo Van ZE could not only do the job he required, but that it made sound business sense."
