First Wrightbus Streetlite Micro Hybrid to appear at Gatwick 10 November 2016

The first Wrightbus Streetlite single-decker built using the bus OEM’s third-generation micro hybrid technology was handed over to Metrobus at last week’s Euro Bus Expo (1—3 November 2016).

The high-tech the 10.8-metre door-forward bus – the first of a 16-vehicle order from Metrobus – is due to enter service on the operator’s Fastway routes serving Gatwick Airport.

This is the third repeat order for Wrightbus from Go-Ahead subsidiary Metrobus and will wear the Fastway service silver, white and blue colours.

In other news, Reading has confirmed an order for six Wrightbus Streetdeck 10.6-metre double-deck buses, all specified with Euro 6 Daimler 5.1-litre diesel engines and, again, the micro hybrid system.
