Called Achieve, and described as a work-related road safety programme, it is based on Fleet Service GB’s existing driver risk profile system but gives fleet managers the ability to tap into real-time data from a single source.
As well as eligibility to drive, crash history, vehicle maintenance record and motoring offences, Achieve incorporates other data from telematics and on-board vehicle technologies, and has been launched following successful pilots with some of its key customers.
“The uniqueness of Achieve is that it continuously records and measures both individual driver compliance and performance via a points process to compile a real-time driver history taking into account all key data to produce a ‘drive safe, stay safe’ employee mentality,” says Marcus Bray, head of sales for Fleet Service GB.
Achieve automatically produces notifications, prompts and reminders for all required events, as well as scoring responses and raising alerts for any non compliance to agreed management levels.
One of the pilot customers is vacant property management and maintenance business VPS UK. It has more than 900 drivers registered on the Achieve programme.
Head of fleet Steve Mulvaney says: “Introducing the Achieve programme, with its continuous emphasis on measuring driver and vehicle performance, has generated a real change in culture and attitude.
“This change is ongoing and is under constant review, but has already contributed to massive business savings in driver-influenced costs, maintenance bills and insurance payouts and premiums totalling some £365,000.
“There is no doubt that the significant financial fleet savings have been positively influenced by the introduction of the Achieve programme.”
