Flogas renews Fraikin vehicle fleet management deal 07 May 2013

Fraikin has won a renewal of its three-year contract with LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) supplier Flogas.

The contract covers the management, maintenance provision and fleet administration of most of the fleet deployed by Flogas, which varies seasonally between 250 and 400 vehicles.

The only exceptions to the deal are larger bulk trailers and the gas tanks themselves.

Twenty-four hour breakdown cover across the UK will also be provided by Fraikin, coordinated from its call centre at Oldbury, West Midlands.

"[Fraikin] provides a level of service in excess of what we could do ourselves," comments Jason Lynch, purchasing manager at Flogas.

"They are specialists in fleet maintenance, and we are specialists in gas... They have given us helpful, useful advice with regards to how we handle our vehicles. Indeed, we are reviewing certain elements of the fleet following suggestions made by Fraikin," he adds.
