Ford ECOnetic vans get zero rated for London congestion charge22 December 2010
Drivers of existing low-CO2 Ford vans equipped with ECOnetic are set to benefit from zero London congestion charge regulations next year.
From January 4, the new Greener Vehicle 100% discount will mean exemption from the congestion charge for vehicles with CO2 emissions of 100g/km or less, which also meet the Euro 5 standard.
Ford's Fiesta Van ECOnetic models emit 98g/km CO2, and Jon Wellsman, sales director, Ford of Britain, says: "I am delighted that [our commercials] include vehicles taht will be exempt from the London Congestion Charge."
And he adds: "Even more exciting is the introduction of our zero-emission Transit Connect Electric in 2011."
