As part of the package, Fraikin will provide all servicing, maintenance and repairs for the new 26-tonners – including the vehicles’ six-weekly safety inspections, annual MOT testing, tyre management and 24/7 roadside assistance.
Benchmark’s managing director Phillip Brown says Fraikin took the time to understand the operator’s specific needs, coming up with a tailored package: “We wanted a supplier that could help us manage our fleet costs and ensure compliance while giving us complete visibility of the vehicles at all times.
“Fraikin has taken that burden off our shoulders and allowed us to focus on our core business.”
To assist with the loading and unloading to sites with difficult access, each vehicle has been fitted with lightweight mesh dropsides and a remote-controlled Hiab crane with brick grab.
Benchmark will also benefit from FraikinView, a web portal which allows for real-time reporting of possible vehicle defects online, access to the vehicle’s full service history and progress with any breakdowns.
The portal also lists planned maintenance work and hosts important vehicle documentation and fleet information to aid compliance.
