FTA set to launch Logistics Report at CV Show 16 March 2016

The FTA (Freight Transport Association) says it will unveil this year’s annual logistics review on the first day of the CV Show (26—28 November 2016, NEC, Birmingham).

The Logistics Report 2016, detailing the challenges faced by the transport industry in 2015, incorporates in-house and independent research – focusing on developments likely to influence politicians and stakeholders in the coming year.

“2015 presented some real challenges for the logistics industry: a new government determined to make its mark; growing uncertainty about the global economic slowdown; and on-going difficulties in recruiting the drivers,” comments FTA director of policy Karen Dee (pictured).

“The Logistics Report – now in its seventh year – takes an in-depth look at how the industry has risen to these challenges as well as peering into the crystal ball to see what might lie ahead.”

Copies of The Logistics Report will be available to visitors at the FTA stand, with FTA staff on hand to discuss operators’ freight and logistics needs.

Live Drive Pro – a risk management tool that provides an alternative to telematics and driver training – will also be on show for the first time.

Dee says the tool offers real-time verbal feedback to help drivers understand how to drive more safely and efficiently.
