Galt Transport expands fleet with Scania S-series22 January 2018
Dumbarton-based haulier Galt Transport has taken delivery of two new Scania S-series trucks – the largest in the Scania range – citing build quality, fuel efficiency and dealer service.
Supplied by Scania Renfrew, the S500 Highline-cabbed additions are 6x2 tag axle units plated for 65 tonnes special types category 2 operation.
Galt Transport’s fleet engineer Ian Medhurst says: “We’re expecting good things from the new S-series truck. They’re the most efficient and spacious trucks we’ve seen from Scania.
“We choose them for their quality, reliability, fuel performance and dealer back-up. Driver feedback so far has been excellent.”
The trucks join a 60-strong truck and 100-trailer fleet, and are undertaking a range of work including long distance and day delivery schedules.
