The commercial vehicles tyre specialist also says it will use the CV Show to unveil the first phase of its Giti branded truck and bus tyre range, with some 20 patterns making their European debut.
Additionally, Giti Tires’ display will feature new product lines, conversions of existing patterns from GT Radial (many improved through increased load index and/or 3PMSF winter accreditation), and other tyres certified for use in the EU.
Tony McHugh, TBR sales and marketing director UK at Giti Tire, says the Genesis retreads are next-generation, hot-cure bead-to-bead tyres that are manufactured using Giti casings in partnership with “a leading UK-based operation”.
He also claims lower costs for operators and reduced environmental impact in production – stating that a recycled tyre saves 68 litres of oil, 44 kg of rubber and 88 kg of CO2 across the life of the product.
“Since we launched our first retread tyre in 2012 we have proven that the programme delivers tangible benefits to operators who want the lowest price-per-kilometre without sacrificing reliability and safety,” states McHugh.
“By utilising our casings’ proven integrity and retreadability, both patterns offer excellent traction, optimal mileage performance and resistance to damage and impacts which has put them very much in demand,” he continues.

Giti Genesis is available in two patterns: the GDR690 regional drive axle tyre is available in 295/80R22.5, 315/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5; the GTR990 regional trailer tyre is offered in size 385/65R22.5.
