Goodyear, Hankook and Yokohama take this year’s tyre honours 21 February 2011

Goodyear, Yokohama and Hankook were honoured at the 11th annual Tyre Technology Expo in Cologne, alongside specialist suppliers such as Allma and Reosense.

Goodyear scooped the Tyre Technology of the Year Award for its UltraGrip Ice+ winter tyres, and its ActiveGrip technology, which combines a dual cap compound with hybrid sipes.

The prestigious Manufacturer of the Year award went to Hankook in recognition of its strong financial growth, and for its significant investment in production sites and technologies to ensure world-class products.

And the all-important Environmental Achievement of the Year, this year went to Yokohama.
