Government adviser to address Microlise Transport Conference22 March 2017

Microlise has announced that senior UK policymaker Dr Rupert Lewis will join the line-up of key figures speaking at the Microlise Transport Conference, taking place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, on 17 May.

Dr Lewis leads the government office for science and supports the chief scientific adviser in providing advice directly to the prime minister.

Prior to this, he was head of automotive policy in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, where he led work on setting up the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) and the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV).

At the conference, Dr Lewis will give delegates an insight into the work of his department and will deliver a view of the future, how the UK may change and develop – and how those changes will impact transport operators.

Bob Harbey, Microlise executive director, says: “A first-hand scan of the transport horizon from one of the UK’s most senior scientific advisors is a rare opportunity.”
