Green light for traffic management vehicles from Asset Alliance28 July 2017

Asset Alliance has launched a new vehicle hire division, called Total Traffic Management, after signing a £3m deal with bodybuilder Martin Williams for 170 specialist vehicles.

Operators now have access to a fleet, ranging from 3.5- to 26-tonne vehicles, featuring a mix of cone wells, sign racks, vertical light arrow boards and impact attenuators.

“This is an exciting new area for Asset Alliance, and one where we see significant opportunity for growth,” says Dave Potter, Asset Alliance Group commercial and development director.

Asset Alliance has taken over existing customer contracts from the Hull-based bodybuilder. The vehicles have been integrated into its fleet management systems, which covers service and maintenance, routine safety inspections, road fund licensing and the provision of 24/7 roadside assistance cover.

Potter adds: “The quality of the Martin Williams-built fleet has given us a fantastic launch platform, combined with a great customer portfolio. We will be continuing to grow the fleet to meet demand, and actively commissioning bespoke builds with Martin Williams for new contracts.”

Asset Alliance’s finance options include contract hire and hire purchase, as well as Flexi-Hire which provides flexible medium to long-term rental on a rolling basis.
