Greenergy Flexigrid switches to Goodyear Fuelmax tyre policy 13 April 2016

Fuel haulage specialist Greenergy Flexigrid – which delivers 5 billion litres of fuel a year to retail and commercial customers – is to fit its entire fleet of more than 100 tankers with Goodyear’s Fuelmax tyres in a bid to improve fuel efficiency.

Greenergy Flexigrid business development manager Andy Darling says that the decision to switch to Goodyear was in part because the premium tyres firm already operates in the fuel tanker sector.

“Clearly, with a fleet as large as ours and doing the sort of annual mileage typical to our operation, fuel efficiency is a major factor when considering the cost-efficiencies of our tyre investment,” states Darling.

“Goodyear had the most competitive offer, both in terms of driving cost out of our business ... and dedicated service support to improve our overall tyre management,” he continues.

And he adds: “What’s impressed us about Goodyear from the very start is their focus on putting the best possible solution in place from a product and service perspective, tailored to the demands of our fleet and business.”
