Gregory Distribution remains attached to Carrier Transicold05 March 2018

Gregory Distribution has continued its longstanding Carrier Transicold specification policy with its latest delivery of five new Don-Bur refrigerated trailers, each equipped with Carrier’s Vector 1550 unit.

The latest arrivals join the operator’s 135-strong refrigerated trailer fleet that has been 100% Carrier-cooled for 13 years.

The mono-temperature Vector 1550 units are mounted to 13.6-metre Don-Bur Insuliner curtainside refrigerated trailers, suitable for the rapid loading and unloading requirements of Gregory Distribution’s dairy contracts.

“We get everything we need from Carrier Transicold,” says Dan Saunders, technical support manager for the South West-based operator. “The units are extremely reliable, the service levels are second to none and their continued commitment to innovation has kept us coming back year after year.”

The combination of the Vector 1550 units and Insuliner trailers allows Gregory Distribution to quickly change between ambient and refrigerated loads.

“We operate 2,000 commercial vehicle assets and generally specify box bodies for our refrigerated trailers. These new units will be used primarily to transport dairy products across the UK, so the combination of the Insuliner curtain and the Vector 1550 works effectively, giving us the versatility to load whatever is required for the return trip,” confirms Saunders.

Each of the new trailers will travel more than 150,000km a year, delivering temperature-controlled and time-critical goods across the UK, seven days a week.
