High-tech emergency services livery meets endurance tests 18 September 2014

High-tech emergency vehicle livery from Bluelite Graphics has now passed endurance tests in the Falkland Islands and the West Indies.

Firefighters in both areas have taken delivery of new AMDAC Carmichael tenders decked out in high-visibility Rennicks Nikkalite flexible crystal grade sheeting.

David Skinner, of Rennicks UK, says the micro-prismatic material has been designed for emergency service liveries with high-contrast colours and enhanced reflectivity.

"Emergency vehicles are always subject to tough working conditions and that, together with such diverse weather, means the livery has to withstand particularly heavy punishment," comments Skinner.

"Nikkalite crystal grade is extremely durable and, as it was applied by one of our 'gold' converters, it's guaranteed to provide high visibility for many years," he adds.

Bluelite Graphics created the livery kit for a water foam tender delivered to the Falkland Islands and for a Scania machine sent to Trinidad and Tobago.

AMDAC Carmichael has also now delivered a tactical response vehicle for use on site by the fire and rescue service at BP Saltend Chemical Park in Hull, again with the Nikkalite crystal grade covering.
