HRVS Ripley is second in line for MAN’s VOSA ATF network 26 November 2010

Site work at HRVS Ripley, MAN's truck centre in Ripley, is ahead of its planned start in the new year as an official VOSA ATF (authorised testing facility), according to the company.

HRVS will be the second MAN dealership to receive the VOSA accreditation, in the wake of MAN Truck & Bus Manchester's ATF appointment in October.

Says VOSA chief executive, Alastair Peoples: "I am really pleased that MAN has taken the opportunity to open ATFs throughout their network. The expanding ATF estate provides even greater choice of location and facility to the industry.

"ATFs offer more choice, they take testing closer to the customer and reduce heavy vehicle journeys for tests and maintenance, thereby lowering costs to industry."

John Davies, head of UK service at MAN Truck & Bus, says that operators will enjoy significant benefits, with extended testing hours, greater flexibility on booking test slots and reduced travelling time for local operators.

"In HRVS Ripley, we will have a modern, well-equipped facility with fully-trained staff who understand the importance of keeping well-maintained trucks on our roads," states Davies. "Like MAN Truck & Bus Manchester, HRVS will be a one-stop-shop, making our service offering even more appealing."

And he adds: "HRVS will be the second of what we plan will be a network of wholly-owned and private capital MAN dealers with VOSA's ATF endorsement."
