Hyva trucks won’t go to waste with recycling 31 January 2013

Simply Waste Solutions has purchased its first two hookloaders from Hyva, in a bid to, according to the company, drive down cost, minimise waste and increase recycling.

"We can see two main benefits of the Hyva hookloader," explains operations manager Frazer Lanagan.

"First, it impresses us with its robust, high quality, built-for-life construction that promises minimum downtime, easy maintenance and a long service life," he continues.

"Second, it's safe and easy to operate whilst also being a good bit faster than our other hookloader units. Speeding up the job saves valuable time, and therefore adds to our overall productivity and cost effectiveness."

Mounted on 360bhp Scania 8x4 chassis, the Hyva hookloader frame is designed and built to handle a range of demountable containers. Types operated by Simply Waste include 6.1-metre long 20 and 40 cu.yd open top models, as well as 35 cu.yd compactors.

To suit whatever size and type of container is being carried, the hookloaders were also specified with Hyva's width-adjustable EasySheet option that can cover almost any dimension of container.
