Indian commercial vehicles tech centre opened by PACCAR14 October 2011

PACCARs technical centre has opened in Pune, India, with the truck maker being helped by its technology solutions partner KPIT.

Todd Coulter, PACCAR India executive director, says the centre will eventually house some 200 employees, and will focus on engineering, IT and component sourcing for worldwide production and aftermarket operations.

"The PACCAR India Technical Center will deliver quality resources to our global engineering and IT organisations, and enable PACCAR to accelerate new product development," he states.

"PACCAR is pleased to be partnering with KPIT, as they are leaders in providing world-class IT and product development support, particularly in the automotive sector," comments Dan Sobic, PACCAR executive vice president.
